From The Constant Nymph, a 1924 novel by Margaret Kennedy turned into a play in 1926 and filmed three times! Played by Charles Boyer in 1943, Brian Aherne in 1933, and Ivor Novello in 1928.

Dodd marries into the Sanger family, inciting his wife's cousin's jealousy, but more importantly, connecting this work to another Margaret Kennedy play/film, Escape Me Never, featuring two brother composers.
