Ledby Hand and Tinker

Brief folk music duo sensation from the "To Walk Among Men" story of comic book Metal Men #37 (April-May, 1969). But really they are just a secret identity for robots Tin and Lead from the Metal Men. In this story, a wealthy Mr. Conan, aided by Dr. Peter Pygmalion, gives them all human secret idenities by covering them with "a protein-based plastic that looks, feels,and smells like skin" that the doctor invented. Why this secret identity should be folk singers is not adequately explored.
