Jump to navigationJump to searchTeen singer and guitarist played by singer/guitarist Yui in the 2006 Japanese film Song to the Sun (Taiyō no Uta). Kaoru has the rare (but real) disease Xeroderma pigmentosum, so she can only perform outside at night.
The film was adapted into a TV series, a manga, a 2015 Vietnamese film, and remade in English as Midnight Sun (2018). In the American remake, Kaoru became Katie Price (played by Bella Thorne).
