From the "Banjo-Playing Deputy" episode of classic TV sitcom The Andy Griffith Show (first aired 3 May 1965). Jerry Van Dyke plays this one-man band who loses his carnival job. Aunt Bee convinces Andy to make him a deputy while Barney is away. Only, he's even WORSE than Barney, but does bust some of his carny folk friends for purse snatching.
