Composer of the new opera La Farta (snicker), glimpsed on a program in The Shield and Dusty story of comic book Pep Comics #30 (August 1942). It's a self-deprecating joke, as Irving Novick is the artist who drew the story. Artist Novick clearly doesn't think much of opera- aside from the name, the only lyric given is "Yeeowwlll," and hero The Shield falls asleep during the performance. His sidekick Dusty is only awake because he's suddenly infatuated with the beautiful singer Yvonne Bergere.
