Band comprising Desmond and Danny Howell and supporting musicians that was featured in Paul Quarrington's 1989 novel Whale Music.
They first enjoyed popularity in the 1960s with hits like "Torque Torque," "Kiss Me, Karen," and so forth.
Maury Chaykin starred as Desmond Howell in the 1994 film adaptation.
