Struggling songwriter living in New York City in the 1923 silent film Broken Hearts of Broadway. He and his aspiring stage actress girlfriend Mary Ellis (Colleen Moore) eventually make it big with a Colton-penned song and play, also titled Broken Hearts of Broadway.

The film was adapted from a 1917 play by James Kyrle McCurdy.

Played by Johnnie Walker.
