Butler Lurch lied to his pen-pal that he was a rock star and doesn't want to visit her hometown of Nashville, Tennessee, and have her learn the truth. So Gomez Addams pays off a promoter to let him add this band he just made up to the bill of a local rock festival, so Lurch can be a real rock star. The rest of the family serves as the band, and Gomez does the real singing backstage while Lurch lip-synchs.
