Singer/songwriter/guitarist/protagonist of the 1969 novel A Slipping-Down Life and the 1999 film of the same name based on the novel. Played by Guy Pearce in that film.

His real first name is Bertram. He's from the fictonal small North Carolina town of Pulqua in fictional Pulqua County.
