Indie rocker quartet of Portland parents who think weird chord changes and time signatures would make good children's music. From the "Squiggleman" episode (18 Jan. 2013) of sketch comedy television series Portlandia.

Thry quickly consider and reject a batch of potential names before settling on Defiance of Anthropomorphic Sea Mammals: Gummy Riot, Dough Hammer, Shortstop Sleepover, The Hamburger Options, Cross-Stitch, and Goofus

Lineup: Brendan (Fred Armisen) on drums, and Michelle (Carrie Brownstein) on vocals, and two other parents on guitar and circuit bending.

They are not well received at their gig at the children's museum opening for successful children's musician Squiggleman.
