Wow, I didn't know there was a spinoff from The Partridge Family, either. But in the first-season finale "A Knight in Shining Armor" (March 19, 1971), the characters of Bobby Conway (real singer Bobby Sherman) and Lionel Poindexter (Wes Stern) are introduced, paired as songwriters and given their own sitcom, Getting Together. It only ran for 14 episodes from September 18, 1971 to January 8, 1972, and then got cancelled.
