Challenger #2 in the "Battle of the Gentle Bands" concert in Portland in the "Off the Grid" episode (18 Jan. 2013) of sketch comedy television series Portlandia. The impress the crowd by not using mics or amps, and sending lead guitarist to play out in the field to keep his unplugged guitar from drowning out bells played with kisses.
Show regular Carrie Brownstein plays a guitarist, but the lead guitarist is played by indie rock legend J Mascis of Dinosaur Jr. The rest of the band is played by members of real band Dirty Projectors.
They compete against Featherwash and Franny Wisp.
